About this episode...I didn't think it was the best of the season, but I enjoyed it. I've been a proponent of this Seth/Summer stuff, but I am getting a little annoyed with him not jus saying, "Hey, look, here's the deal." But I think I can handle it for a little while longer. I enjoyed Anna's return, though she didn't look her best. She and Seth have a fun chemistry, and if you play the episode back, there's a nice little season one music bit that's played when Seth first sees her. And I'm glad Seth didn't get into Brown because it would have seemed ridiculous. It was nice to have him shot down.

The Ryan/baby storyline cannot be over. There is no way that Josh cast a child that looks JUST LIKE Ben McKenzie if he wasn't going to let the kid be Ryan's. Honestly, this kid looks more like Ben than even Ben's own son would. It's scary. Cute kid, though. Good to see Theresa back as well, as I've always loved their chemistry together. I think I definitely prefer Ryan with her. I'm hoping Eddie's return is a true part of the rest of the season, as I'd like a good fight to end the season on.

Marissa didn't bother me too bad, again. The original script called for Wes, the guy at Berkley, to be a coke-head, and I would have liked that better. Berkley said no way, though, and so they had to rewrite him as this cool, getting himself together guy. I guess it was fine. He seemed interesting enough. And I really felt for Marissa when she said she didn't belong. So hooray for Marissa.

Sandy and Kirsten had me screaming at the television in a good way. That drinking scene was unbelievably powerful. Kelly Rowan is flat out GREAT. And I have a feeling this is going to get explosive (though not in the way the spoilers suggest since I'm pretty sure those are clearly foilers).

So yeah, good episode, but there was a distinct lack of, I don't know, something, that put a step down from the last couple of weeks. I think the last few have been so emotionally gutwrenching that this one left me feeling indifferent.
